- easyJet began its newest sector from Geneva (GVA) on 4 April, a 319-kilometre link to Marseille (MRS). Flown on a mixture of the carrier’s A319s and A320s, the city pair will be served three times weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) facing no direct competition. easyJet will add one additional A320 to its Geneva operation from 5 May, meaning that in total the airline will have 14 aircraft stationed in the Swiss city. The new aircraft means easyJet will provide an additional 230,000 seats from Geneva in 2017, allowing it to open new connections such as Calvi in Corsica and Tivat in Montenegro, with the former scheduled to begin 28 June and the latter on 1 July. In total easyJet will be offering 66 routes from Geneva this summer on 500 weekly flights when analysing OAG schedules.
