Edelweiss Air commenced flights on its latest long-haul route on 30 September, an 8,995-kilometre sector between Zurich and Mauritius. The twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays) service will face no direct competition.
- Edelweiss Air launched its latest long-haul route from Zurich (ZRH) on 30 September, an 8,995-kilometre link to Mauritius (MRU). Flights on the airport pair will operate twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays) on a mixture of the carrier’s A330-200s and -300s, facing no incumbent. Mauritius becomes the airline’s eighth long-haul route from Zurich, with the carrier also linking the Swiss city to Cape Town, Havana, Las Vegas, Male, Punta Cana, Rio de Janeiro Galeao and Tampa based on OAG schedules.
